Sky Sports have announced that they will broadcast the WBA and IBO world middleweight title fight between Gennady Golovkin and Birmingham's Matthew Macklin on June 29.  Golovkin is making the eighth defence of his WBA belt at Foxwood Resort's MGM Grand, he defends the IBO title for the fifth time.

Kazakhstan's Golovkin, 26-0 (23), has cut a swathe through the 160lb division and will hope to continue this form against his 31-year-old challenger, who lost out on a world crown when challenging Felix Sturm and Sergio Martinez for the WBA and World middleweight titles respectively.  Golovkin, 31, has finished all of his title fights early, but will encounter stubborn resistance come the night as Macklin, 29-4 (20), bids to make it third time lucky.

Sky will also televise Matchroom's show at the Bolton Arena earlier that night, which is topped Paul Smith's vacant British Super middleweight title rematch with fellow Liverpudlian Tony Dodson.  Gavin Rees versus Anthony Crolla also features on the Bolton bill.
