Golovkin: Provodnikov Has No Shot To Beat Pacquiao

Text by Edward Chaykovsky, Interview by Chris Robinson

IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin is not being influenced by his Eastern Euro roots. He calls it right down the middle.

Regarding a potential fight between WBO 140-pound champion Ruslan Provodnikov (23-2, 16KOs) and eight division king Manny Pacquiao (55-52, 38KOs) - Golovkin gives Provodnikov absolutely no shot to win the fight. He feels Pacquiao will have an easy time with the Siberian puncher.

Pacquiao is slated to return on April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Provodnikov and WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley are the two frontrunners to face the Filipino star.

"I know Ruslan and I respect him, but I think he is nothing for Manny. He is nothing. He don't have a chance with Manny. No chance. This is boxing, you know...I think he would be no problem for Manny," Golovkin said.

Didn't need Naz and Triple G to come out and be so REAL about this potential fight...I've been saying this since Bradley's demons gave birth to Provo.....top level dudes like Pac would beat years from his life....if Bradley rematches him,…

Lol... GGG keep in it real but in my opinion going way too far, i do agree pacquiao would be a heavy heavy favorite but saying no shot whatsoever its too much. I give Provodnikov a better shot at pacquiao…
