Golden Boy Interested in Moreno, Donaire Fight Doubt?

Golden Boy Promotions is interested in signing WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (30-1, 10KOs), according to the boxer's legal adviser Roberto Grimaldo. Golden Boy's rival, Top Rank Promotions, is looking to match Moreno in a unification with WBC/WBO champion Nonito Donaire (26-1, 18KOs). Moreno-Doniare would likely take place in May in San Francisco, California. Golden Boy and Top Rank have to taken part in a co-promotion since 2009. If Moreno signed a promotional deal with Golden Boy, it would cast serious doubts on a potential fight with the Top Rank-promoted Donaire.

It looks to me like ODLH just wants to trump Bob Arum by taking away the Donaire vs. Moreno fight. I never saw anyone from GBP say anything about Moreno until Donaire was in talks to fight him. Now GBP…
