Undefeated heavyweight prospect Vyacheslav Glazkov (14-0, 10KOs) is giving Alexander Povetkin a good shot at beating WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. The World Boxing Association recently ordered the two boxers to clash before the end of February. They were given until January 17th to reach an agreement or a purse bid will be ordered.

Glazkov is a little surprised with so many people writing Povetkin off and predicting a one-sided beatdown. Alexander was a very talented amateur and won a gold medal in the 2004 Olympic games. He is undefeated (25-0, 17KOs) and recently hired Hall of Famer boxer Kostya Tszyu to be his new trainer.

"I know that a lot of fans are not giving him much of a chance in the fight with Wladimir. But this mindset, in my opinion, is wrong. Yes, Klitschko is the favorite here. But, Povetkin is also a very high-class boxer, with a strong position - and a fighter like that can never be written off," Glazkov said.
