Giovanni Caro: I'll Stake My Life To Win Ndlovu's IBF Belt

By Miguel Rivera

This Saturday at Palenque de la Feria in Colima, Mexico, Giovanni "Ruso" Caro (22-9-4, 17KOs) will get the opportunity of a lifetime when he challenges Takalani Ndlovu (32-6, 18KOs) of South Africa for the IBF super bantamweight title. Ndlovu captured the title earlier this year with a twelve round decison over Canada's Steve Molitor.

"I feel great, this is my chance, I was waiting for this opportunity for a long time and now I have it right here in front of me and I won't let this opportunity slide. I want that title and I want to win it convincingly. I'm not afraid to say that I'll stake my life on the line to win this fight," Caro said.

Ndlovu is not afraid to travel. He comes to Mexico for the first defense of his title. After losing his first two outings with Molitor, he achieved his dream on March 26th with a dominating twelve round decision in a the Molitor trilogy bout.

Ndlovu wants to prove his championship roots, by defending his title anywhere and against anyone, but Caro is vowing to win the title for Mexico. Caro wants to avenge his last defeat, a close decision loss to Ndlovu's countryman Simpiwe Vetyeka in a July WBC eliminator.
