By Miguel Rivera

A few days ago, BoxingScene.com reported that former WBA/WBO junior flyweight champion Giovani Segura (28-2-1, 24KOs) had signed a promotional agreement with Hector Garcia of HG Boxing. Segura is scheduled to make his HG Boxing debut in November. Now his promotional status is under dispute. Promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions is stating that his company still holds a valid claim to Segura. He says Segura's deal was extended because the fight hasn't fought since suffering injuries in his TKO defeat to Brian Viloria in December 2011.

For real. Baltran seems to have the lockdown on the best Mexican fighters though. Hope it gets resolved, and Segura can get back to ring business.

lets hope the 2 promoters get it ironed out, both are top runners in MX but let's not let a top guy like Segura suffer from this...
