Giovani Segura Inks With Hector Garcia, Returns in Nov

Former champion Giovani Segura (28-2-1, 24KOs) is no longer a free agent. The boxer has officially joined the ranks of HG Boxing Promotions and Promociones del Pueblo. The boxer, along with his agent Gustavo Callejas, and CEO of HG Boxing, Hector Garcia, signed the contract that binds them to work together. Segura has been inactive since last December's defeat to Brian Viloria.

"The truth is that I am very happy, I am eager to return to try to regain the championship. I'm very excited to reach the ranks of this great company and together we will succeed," said Segura. "Very soon, God willing we will have a world title belt and will be a way to reciprocate the trust you have given me. I am sure that I will not fail."

Segura will debut as a member of HG Boxing in November on Televisa.

"I feel really very happy because I think it is a big step for me, a big step towards new things and especially to be supported by people with a lot of experience."
