Giovani Segura (30-3-1, 26KOs) turned back the clock and knocked out rising Puerto Rican prospect Jonathan Gonzalez (13-1, 10KOs) in the fourth round of their flyweight fight at the El San Juan Resort and Casino in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico.
Segura captured the WBO's Latino flyweight title with the victory and now wants the big fights. Segura wants to avenge his losses to Edgar Sosa and Brian Viloria, or a shot at the WBO/WBA flyweight king Juan Francisco Estrada (25-2, 18KOs).
"This fight is dedicated to the memory of my manager Arturo Mota. Now I want to get the opportunity for a fight with Estrada, or else a rematch with Edgar Sosa or Brian Viloria. I felt stronger and better than ever [in this fight]," Segura said.Tags: Giovani Segura , Juan Francisco Estrada
