WBO super middleweight world champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez and his team are in agreement that it's time to go after the big fights.

Before arriving at the major fights, one of the wishes for Ramirez have yet to be fulfilled - to defend his in his native Mazatlan.

And then he wants to go looking for IBO champion Chris Eubank or whoever ends up being the winner of the World Boxing Super Series.

Ramirez visited the studio of  "A Los Golpes" to talk about his future in the short term. For now, among his plans is to make a defense in June at the CUM in Mazatlan, Sinaloa.

"It's the plan, to fight at home. We have been told that probably in June and then we will see what is best for us," said Ramírez (37-0, 25 KOs) to A Los Golpes.

"We are ready for the best, we want to unify the 168 pounds and if something good comes out, I can go to 175. I'm ready for anybody."

Visiting Mexico City, the Sinaloan idol said, in the company of his co-promoter, Jesús Zápari, that his main goal would be to unify titles with Eubank, who returns next Saturday night in a semi-final bout in the World Boxing Super Series, against WBA world champion George Groves.

Ramirez was offended over statements that Eubank made about him.

"[Eubank said that] I'm fat and I'd be willing to give him a [beating] in his own house," said Ramirez.

In turn, Zápari said that after the fight in Mazatlan, he boxer could face the Australian Rohan Murdock (22-1, 16 KOs) - and the beyond that they would target a unification match with David Benavidez or the Eubank vs. Groves winner.

"We have already demanded the big fights, but we discussed that plan: fighting in Mazatlan, then facing Murdock and then the big fight," Zapari said.

"We will do that before looking for another big fight, either in the United States or England or going to 175 pounds."
