Gilberto Ramirez To Face Don Mouton on February 1

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com has been advised by Hector Zapari of Zapari Boxing Promotions that Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez (26-0) will return to the ring on Februry 1st against veteran Don Mouton in Laredo, Texas. The fight will be televised by UniMas in the United States and TV Azteca in Mexico.

Ramirez, who is co-promoted by Top Rank, was supposed to fight on December 7th in Thackerille, OK on the undercard of the rematch between Roberto Marroquin and Daniel Diaz that was cancelled because of a major snow storm.

If Ramirez comes out of the fight unscathed there is a good chance he will next appear on the televised portion of Manny Pacquiao's April 12th pay-per-view undercard.
