| Gary Russell Jr-Luis Franco IBF Eliminator Being Discussed

By Rick Reeno BoxingScene.com has been advised that there are ongoing discussions to put together a potential IBF featherweight eliminator between undefeated prospects Gary Russell Jr. (19-0, 11KOs) and Luis Franco (11-0, 7KOs). If a deal is reached, the fight would likely take place on a Showtime televised date of June 30th. The June event is reportedly taking place in Russell's hometown of Washington, DC. Good fight, it was discussed in the past but I think Russel get injured. Franco is decent, but Russell has more pro-style and generally I think he can do everything Franco can, just better.

This is a fight i would fuc.king love to see. Franco's been tested in tough fights but russell's natural athletic ability can even things out. I like russell a lot but would rather see franco take it. |
