Robert Garcia, trainer for Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs), is willing to accept a wager being offered by Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) - but only under one condition. During their five city press tour for the September 13th rematch, Mayweather dared Maidana to bet his entire purse on the fight.

“If he really feels like he won the first fight then he should bet his purse.  He should put his money where his mouth is.  But he knows he can’t beat me," Mayweather said.

Garcia, and Maidana, are willing to take the bet - if Mayweather allows the Argentine puncher to wear his favorite Everlast MX gloves. One day prior to their scheduled meeting on May 3rd, Mayweather refused to go forward with the fight until Maidana agreed to use a different style of gloves by Everlast.

Mayweather rejected two different pairs of Everlast MX gloves, presented by Maidana, because the unbeaten boxer claimed that MX style of gloves have little to no padding around the knuckle area. The Nevada State Athletic Commission saw no issue with the second pair Maidana presented.

“He bet Chino’s purse and we responded by saying we’ll take the bet if Chino can wear his Mexican Everlast gloves. All I need is a handshake from him, but I know I won’t get that,” Garcia said.

Garcia needs to stop. They already signed the contract and obviously their glove of choice cannot be used. Floyd got his way because he's the A side but people will always discredit him because he does these well documented pu$$ay moves. Floyd's a pu$$ay but he is in control of things cause ...

[QUOTE=turnedup]I think Garcia and company saw something they missed in that first fight and feel really good about implementing into this rematch. I mean it's one thing to hype a fight but he's putting his reputation big time behind this upcoming fight. These dudes must really have seen somethin...

To Maidana, stand your ground and die with your own sword. Use your own glove choice not be played again by a coward boxer who is taking away your only advantage. Which is your power. Use your punchers gloves you win this. Remember the time. Floyd looked like a loser and had to sit on his hea...
