Garcia: If Danny Has To Die in The Ring, It Is What It Is

By Osman Rodriguez

Angel Garcia, the controversial father/trainer of WBC 140-pound champion Danny Garcia (23-0, 14KOs), said his son will do everything possible to secure a victory tonight, including die in the ring, when he faces WBA champion Amir Khan (26-2, 18KOs) in a unification fight at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Garcia feels Khan is going to run once the punches starts flying and predicts a victory by knockout. Khan, also confident, has predicted the same outcome.

"Khan has no heart. Have you seen his fights? Once he starts getting pounded he runs. Once he starts feeling those hammers, he's going to run," Garcia said to BoxingScene.com. "If Danny has to go in that ring and die in there, it is what it is. You know what, I'll be sad, but at the same time I'm going to be happy because he died like a warrior. That's how warriors die....till the last blood of their body beats. "
