Garcia: I Said Floyd Never Faced Anyone Like Maidana
By CARLOS ARIAS
LAS VEGAS --- Marcos Maidana was unable to get the decision against Floyd Mayweather on Saturday night at the MGm Grand, but had more success and forced Mayweather to fight him for all 12 rounds.
Maidana's trainer Robert Garcia prepared the game plan for Maidana, which was constant pressure and banging away with punches when he was able to pin Mayweather on the ropes.
"Well, we said throughout training camp that Floyd's never been in front of somebody like Maidana," Garcia said. "You know, he never had. He seen it was a tough fight. He said it was tough. We fought they way we had to win the fight. But what we had to do to do what we did was just a fight that's never seen before."
