Melikuziev cruised on the judges’ cards, winning by the tally of 99-91 three times.
LAS VEGAS – A knockout would’ve been more gratifying for Bektemir Melikuziev, but he avenged his lone loss Saturday night. The southpaw from Uzbekistan beat Gabe Rosado convincingly in their 10-round rematch on the Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia undercard at T-Mobile Arena. Melikuziev (12-1, 9 KOs) won their super middleweight bout by wide margins according to judges Tim Cheatham (99-91), Chris Migliore (99-91) and Steve Weisfeld (99-91) in Showtime Pay-Per-View’s second of three bouts broadcast before Davis-Garcia.

LAS VEGAS – The disrespect Gabe Rosado feels from Bektimer Melikuziev has motivated him as their rematch nears. Melikuziev might’ve been better served, according to Rosado, had he come to terms with getting knocked out in the third round by Rosado in June 2021. Rosado senses that the strong southpaw from Uzbekistan instead has attempted to excuse away Rosado’s huge upset win.
