Gabriel Rosado: record, next fight and profile →
Gabe Rosado doesn’t hate Daniel Jacobs. The veteran super middleweight simply has taken exception to Jacobs’ comments about him. Philadelphia’s Rosado promised to make Jacobs pay for his perceived arrogance Friday night, when they’ll meet in a 12-round super middleweight match DAZN will stream as the main event of a five-fight card in Hollywood, Florida.

Daniel Jacobs’ weigh-in Thursday was a little less predictable and a lot less lucrative than the last time he had to step on the scale the day before a fight. Brooklyn’s Jacobs and Philadelphia’s Gabe Rosado met their contractual obligations without incident Thursday for their 12-round super middleweight match Friday night in Hollywood, Florida. Jacobs stepped on the Florida State Boxing Commission’s scale at 167.6 pounds, slightly lighter than Rosado, who officially weighed exactly 168 pounds.
Given the holiday season, Daniel Jacobs is a bit disappointed that Gabriel Rosado isn’t more thankful for what should be viewed as a generous ring opportunity. Years’ worth of trash talk between the two has resulted in a head-on collision that wasn’t particularly in high demand, though nevertheless takes place this weekend. Jacobs looks to continue his journey towards capturing another major title as he marks time in a grudge match with Philadelphia’s Rosado (25-12-1, 14KOs) this Friday on DAZN, live from a crowdless Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Gabriel Rosado never forgot a phrase that Daniel Jacobs said to him: “you will never see yourself in the ring with me’ - implying that his low quality as a boxer would prevent him from one day fighting someone like him. But that day has arrived and the Puerto Rican wants the "Miracle Man" to swallow those words.
By Thomas Gerbasi - One of the most appealing parts of boxing for a young athlete is that there isn’t much in the way of a barrier to entry. It’s not like the NBA, NFL or Major League Baseball, where a certain path through college or the minor leagues is necessary to make it to the big show. In boxing, if a budding pro can get a license and get someone to put them on a show, they’re in...
Former middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs will be looking to punish Gabriel Rosado on Friday, Nov. 27, when they collide behind closed doors at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Jacobs (36-3, 30 KOs) officially move up in weight last December when he fought Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Phoenix, Arizona.
Devin Haney will defend his WBC World Lightweight title against Yuriorkis Gamboa on Saturday, Nov. 7 and Daniel Jacobs will clash with Gabriel Rosado on Friday, Nov. 27, both behind closed doors and subject to strict COVID-19 protocols at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida, live on DAZN.
