Gabriel Rosado-Joel Julio Clash on June 1, NBC Sports

The NBC Sports Network and Main Events officially announced today that they have added a new date - June 1st - to the schedule of the network's popular nationally televised "Fight Night" boxing series. The new show will originate from the Events Center of the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, PA.

Headlining the card co-promoted by Peltz Boxing will be a 10-round junior middleweight fight between "King" Gabriel Rosado of Philadelphia, 19-5, 11 KOs, and Miami's Joel Julio, 37-4, 31 KOs. Julio, the hard-hitting veteran known as "The Love Child" has twice fought for a world title, and is coming off a points win over tough Anges Adjaho last May.

 Rosado is the rising star in the 154-pound division who stole the show in the very first "Fight Night" broadcast in January. Rosado stopped the rugged Jesus Soto Karass in that bout, his most impressive victory to date. The win elevated Rosado to the #7 spot in the IBF rankings.

Gary Quinn, Sr. Director of Programming & Acquisitions NBC Sports Group elaborated, "The January show got our Fight Night series off to a great start and that was highlighted by the tremendous performance of junior middleweight, Gabriel Rosado.    We added this date to give boxing fans a chance to see Rosado in the main event as he takes the next step towards becoming a serious contender."

The fight between Rosado and Julio is an important match-up between two fighters in the title hunt, but it is just one of the fights on the Bethlehem card. 

Also fighting June 1st will be undefeated Bethlehem, PA welterweight prospect Ronald Cruz, 16-0, 12 KOs, in the 10-round co-feature bout.   In his most recent start, Cruz, scored a unanimous 10-round decision over Allen Conyers last Saturday night in Atlantic City. Cruz is rated #15 by the IBF. His opponent for June 1st will be announced soon, along with the show's full slate of supporting bouts.

Tickets to the March 24th blockbuster triple-header featuring Zab Judah  vs. Vernon Paris, Sergei Liakhovich vs. Bryant Jennings and Tomasz Adamek vs. Nagy Aguilera are priced at $200, $100 and $75 and may be purchased by calling Main Events (973) 200-7050, Peltz Boxing (215) 765-0922, or online through www.peltzboxing.com . The non-televised undercard fights will begin at 7:30 p.m., the NBC Sports Network Fight Night broadcast will begin at 10 p.m. ET on Mar 24th.

Good for rosado...Thats pretty impressive that he caught the eyes of nbc and they gave him his own date.Hopefully he puts on another excting fight.
