Gabriel Campillo Withdraws From Thierry Karl Clash

Former WBA champion light heavyweight, Gabriel Campillo (20-3, 7 KO) of Spain has withdrawn from his scheduled fight with French boxer Thierry Karl (27-4, 18 KO). The bout was set for in January 22 at the Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan in Levallois in France, and the EBU light heavyweight was at staje.

According to reports, he just withdrew without giving further details as to the reason. Former French champion, current matchmaker and organizer of the Levallois event, Cyril Seror, has been authorized by the European Boxing Union (EBU) to find a replacement.

I think Campillo could give any titleholder problems especially Pascal. I could see him boxing circles around Cloud as well.

That sucks, it seemed an easy win for him seeing how thiery had fought mostly cans in his career.
