Hennessy Sports and Sauerland Event have begun talks for a fight between Tyson Fury and Kubrat Pulev. This would be a defense of the EBU heavyweight title held by Pulev and a final IBF eliminator for the mandatory position in the IBF ratings.

Pulev, 17-0 and # 1 IBF, knocked out Alexander Ustinov in an eliminator for the number one position in September of last year and has since been waiting for the next move in the IBF's four man tournament - while Fury, 21-0, took out Steve Cunningham on April 20 for the # 2 position.

The IBF originally had Tomasz Adamek, Odlanier Solis, Kubrat Pulev and Alexander Ustinov lined for their eliminators but both Solis and Adamek withdrew.

Date and site are not set as of yet and the winner of this eliminator will most likely have to stand in line and then take on the winner of Wladimir Klitschko vs. Alexander Povetkin (and both these guys have defenses lined up in May that must go according to plan for all of the pieces to come together).
