Newly crowned unified World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has said he will “annihilate” Wladimir Klitschko in their rematch.
The return contest, yet to be signed and sealed, now looks on course after Klitschko confirmed via Instagram earlier in the week he would exercise his rematch clause.
“Let’s get it on over here,” said trainer and uncle Peter tonight in Surrey before his nephew Hughie was due to have his eighteenth contest bout against Larry Olubamiwo.
“Wembley [Stadium] would be good,” said Tyson.
“I played with him the first time and I’ll annihilate him the second time," he continued. "He can’t do anything better than he’s done."
With the future of his IBF belt up in the air, Tyson had a suggestion for the organisation.
“As the IBF is going to strip me why don’t they let Hughie Fury take the opposite corner? [Deontay] Wilder thought he was good enough.”
Peter then added: “We’ve had another offer from Wilder, in talks for Hughie early next year. If they’re going to take the title let his cousin step in.”
