Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko will come face-to-face for the second time in the autumn.
The pair had been set to meet in a rematch for the WBA Super, WBO and IBO world heavyweight titles this weekend, exclusively live on BoxNation in the UK, HBO in the States and RTL in Germany.
But 27-year-old champ Fury (25-0, 18KOs), who dethroned Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) on points last November, forced the clash to be pushed back from its original July 9 date after suffering an ankle injury.
Now, however, it has emerged, courtesy of Peter Fury, Tyson’s trainer and uncle, that the fight will take place on October 29 at Manchester Arena.
Fury tweeted the date in response to a fan who was looking to sort out accommodation for the showdown.
A second mention of the rescheduled date ties in with what the Klitschko Management Group managing director, Bernd Boente, said last week.
Official confirmation from the involved promotional parties –– Hennessy Sports and KMG –– is still awaited.
