Heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15KOs) has promised to punish British rival David Haye (26-2, 24KOs) on a proposed date of September 28th in Manchester. Fury expects a massive war of words during the pre-fight promotion, and he predicts a big victory to place him near the top of the division.
"It's the only fight that would ever make sense for Tyson Fury right now. I've fought the two Americans, the top Americans, and I've been to New York and fought at Madison Square Garden and now I'm ready to take over the division," Fury told Sky Sports Ringside.
"When it comes to talking there's no one better than me and David Haye for entertainment and excitement. It's a 50-50 fight, we're all-action fighters and when we do get in there it will be a war, like the words will be."
"David Haye is a pretender and a celebrity who likes to live a celebrity's lifestyle. But I'm an active fighter and it's a man who's had two fights in two years against a man who's had lots of fights in two years. I've been busy against world class fighters and it will tell on the night."
"I don't know how to lose, where Haye's been beaten. If Carl Thompson (the 40-year-old beat Haye in 2004) can do that to him then wait until he gets in the ring with me."
