UK heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15KOs) is pushing to get feared puncher Deontay Wilder (30-0, 30KOs) in the ring. The fight has been talked about for some time but the negotiations have never been that serious. Golden Boy Promotions, who have Wilder, have placed the blame on Fury. But Fury is placing the blame on Golden Boy Promotions and Wilder. Fury wants to get a fight with Wilder at some point in 2014.

Fury plans to return on a date in February, then he will consider a rematch with domestic rival Dereck Chisora - and then he wants to close the year with a Wilder showdown.

"Maybe if Deontay Wilder grows a pair of balls I might fight him as well. It's more to do with Richard Schaefer, he's the brains behind it all. He keeps saying my name and saying he's offered me this and that but there's never been anything in writing. There are a lot of fighters out there who are pretend boxers and fighters and who really don't want to fight. I'll mention no names - Wladimir Klitschko, David Haye, Deontay Wilder," Fury told Buncey's Boxing Podcast.

"And I know Wilder's team talk a good fight and they say it's me [who doesn't want to fight], but I can guarantee you now it's nothing to do with me because I would go to America no problem, and do the same as I did to Steve Cunningham in April.

"It's up to the promoters to stop talking bullsh*t, get the chequebooks out and starting putting zeroes on them because if I am to get these big fights then these opponents need paying. If they're going to get beaten by me they need paying well, because no one's going to put a 30-0 record on the line or an undefeated record for little money because they know they can't beat me. It's all about dollars."
I think Fury would clobber Wilder. His last opponent was slow and short as sh*t and was getting to him. Imagine what a seasoned pro like Fury would do.
short? are you talking nicoliai firtha? he is 6'5 240-250...

I dont see this fight happening this year.Wilder is in a comfortable position, hasn't really fought anyone to prepare for a fighter of the calibre of Stiverne,Arreola or Fury though.he really needs to fight a live opponent, maybe Steve Cunningham he's relatively durable or Kevin Johnson or the othe...

The hype for Wilder would go through the roof if he KO'd Fury.
Buy me a big bag of Beef Jerky and you can have all my points. One is worth something, the other is worthless in reality.
If we ever meet in person I'll buy you a porter house steak and a beer. Fair enough?
