Tyson Fury has been hit with a £3,000 fine and told to behave himself by boxing bosses upset by his Twitter outbursts.
The 6ft 9ins Morecambe heavyweight (left) says he is now Mr Nice Guy on Twitter – after regularly ranting and raving on the social media website.
The British Boxing Board of Control has told Fury to KO his foul-mouthed tirades – online and on air – as the unbeaten star edges closer to a crack at world No.1 Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury, 24, is due to leave for America this week in preparation for his April 20 US debut against Yank Steve Cunningham at the Madison Square Garden Theatre.
He said: “I had to go in front of the board this week and got a £3,000 fine and was told to behave myself. If I do it again I’ll be in big trouble.
“People like outspoken people and I am outspoken – but when you are getting hit for three grand, it’s time to maybe quieten down a bit.
“The board has been more than lenient with me and it was a hefty fine that I will take on the chin.”
