According to IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (31-2, 22KOs) - Matchroom stablemate George Groves (19-0, 15KOs) is likely to be his next opponent. There is some tension between the two fighters, because Groves helped Mikkel Kessler prepare for his May rematch with Froch. The IBF has given Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn until July 17th to get a deal done. Froch feels the fight can happen this year, but more than likely it will take place in 2014.

"Potentially the fight might happen this year but it is more likely to happen, if it does happen, next year," Froch told BBC Sport. "It's quite unusual for a British fighter to spar a foreign fighter against a British fighter. You wouldn't usually go and help them out. He's promoted by Eddie Hearn at Matchroom, same as me, but we're from different camps. He trains in London with Adam Booth, who looks after David Haye. I train in Nottingham and I'm with Rob McCracken. There's no beef but it's not ideal."
