By Frank Warren

It's in the early stages but I'm in talks with the promoter of WBA world light heavyweight champion Beibut Shumenov about a unification clash with WBO king Nathan Cleverly.

I'm aiming for it to take place early next year in Wales and it will be a big 'Homecoming' as Cleverly's last fight there was in 2007 on the Joe Calzaghe-Mikkel Kessler card.

Cleverly is only 24 and is a wanted man with Enzo Maccarinelli and Tony Bellew keen. It'll be his decision.

I have the gut feeling that this fight wont happen. These guys are just frontin'.

Cleverly be crazy to turn down a unification against Shumenov in Vegas. It's a fight he should win and could win impressively. Homecoming would be twice as big against an opponent of his choice after a profile raising showdown in Vegas.
