Los Mochis, Sin .- The big opportunity that Francisco "Panchito" Arce always craved will finally come true on Saturday May 14 - and it's in his hometown of Los Mochis, Sinaloa at the Benito Juarez Auditorium.

Panchito Arce (31-6-3, 22 KO's) will fight for the interim bantamweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA) against the powerful champion Hugo "Cuatito" Ruiz (27-1-0, 25 KO). The event will be promoted by Zanfer and HG Boxing.

The evening of boxing is called "Mochis vs. Mochis." TV Azteca will televise the card. For Panchito, he will have his first opportunity to contest for a world title, and it takes place a week after his brother Jorge Arce will look to become the first Mexican to become a world champion in four weight divisions.

"I lost count of how many times I pleaded with my dear God to grant me the opportunity to go for a world title and now he gave me the chance. I'm very excited, thanks to Zanfer, because of what everyone had to do in order to achieve this dream. Thanks to Hugo Ruiz and his promoter Hector Garcia for the opportunity. It will be a great fight between two warriors of Los Mochis," Panchito said.

"What we wanted was to go for a world title with a countryman of Los Mochis, and things went well. Ruiz is a friend, but in the ring I will do everything to defeat him in order to be crowned world champion.

Previously, Panchito lost an elimination bout for the IBF super flyweight title against Simphiwe Nongqayi of South Africa in February 2009.
