Francesco Pianeta Expects a Tough Fight From McCall

By Luke Furman

47-year-old former heavyweight champion Oliver McCall (56-11, 37 KOs) had no problem stepping in on short notice to replace Frans Botha, who was scheduled to face undefeated Francesco Pianeta (25-0-1, 14 KOs) this Wednesday in Frankfurt.

Last year, McCall was scheduled to face Mariusz Wach, but he couldn't pass the medical examination. McCall is said to be in much better shape.

"Oliver McCall is a boxer similar to Botha, and has similar dimensions. Oliver has great ring experience and he's regarding in the world rankings. I think that a difficult task is waiting for me in Frankfurt," Pianeta said.
