47-year-old former heavyweight champion Oliver McCall (56-11, 37 KOs) had no problem stepping in on short notice to replace Frans Botha, who was scheduled to face undefeated Francesco Pianeta (25-0-1, 14 KOs) this Wednesday in Frankfurt.

Last year, McCall was scheduled to face Mariusz Wach, but he couldn't pass the medical examination. McCall is said to be in much better shape.

"Oliver McCall is a boxer similar to Botha, and has similar dimensions. Oliver has great ring experience and he's regarding in the world rankings. I think that a difficult task is waiting for me in Frankfurt," Pianeta said.
It's been picking up for the past year now. It isn't the 1990's but it's picking up. Heavyweight's are beginning to take risks. Can only mean good fun.
If by taking a risk you mean Pianeta fighting a 47 year McCall they still seem to have a very long way to go.
