  • Was Castillo robbed of a victory over Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

What do you guys think? The punch stats are in my sig. Howard Lederman had Castillo up as well as the other analysists. After the decision was announced, the audienced booed the decision and Jim Lampley called Mayweather a GIFTED fighter. I think Castillo was robbed. He successfully cut off the ring and had Floyd on the ropes many times while hooking him.

The Punch stats are are deceiving for the fight. Robbery is a word that shouldn't be used for that fight. It was a close fight and could've eaisly been scored for either fighter.

I haven't seen the fight, but judging by punchstats and the other stuff in your sig, yeah it was robbery.

Anyone who thinks that Forrest-Quartey was a robbery should watch Mayweather-Castillo I. Anyone who says Forrest-Ike was a robbery and Mayweather-Castillo was not shouldn't be taken seriously whatsoever.

Neither were robberies imo. I had Floyd winning the fight barely and I had Quartey winning by 1 point. So any fight that is scored closely shouldn't be considered a robbery. A bad decision is a different story.

I agree. I had Castillo winning but no one could have that fight more than 7-5 for Castillo or Mayweather.

The rematch cleared up the controversy though.

There have been worse but I clearly felt he won when I watched it the first and second time......have'nt seen it in a while though......I doubt I would see it any differently now.
