Default Was Kevin Rooney a good trainer?

I say yes. I feel it is unfair when people criticize him of the talent he trained otherwise known as Mike Tyson. He was a student of Cus and Atlas and played a major role in developing the Prime Tyson we remember.

Yes, Kevin Rooney is definitely a good trainer. But he probably is a little overrated by some. He had alot to do with Mike Tyson being as good as he was in the 1980s, but this is more due to his relationship with Tyson, more than his skills as a trainer.

Rooney was a friend of Tyson, a man Tyson listened to and respected. With Rooney, Tyson had a man to keep him from getting into too much trouble.

I would say Don King did a better job destroying Tyson than Rooney did training him. But as a motivator Rooney was great for Tyson.
