Default Old fight footage

Am I the only one who has trouble watching fight footage from the 1950's and before?I mean some of the fights appear to be in fast forward.I can't even see punches landing. Now of course I understand the technology back then. But it sucks that I can't sit through fights from greats like Dempsey,Johnson,Louis,ETC.
