What if Walters beats Lomachenko? Ward beats Kovalev? Jacobs beats Golovkin?

In other words, what if the fights end up like Vitali-Lewis, Crawford-Postol, Mayweather-Canelo or Ward-Froch?

    What will you then conclude?

None of those fights have anything to do with each other. Nor do triangle theories work in boxing. Therefore nothing.

What I mean is... Wouldn't it feel "typical"? Personally, I just don't think that the stiff European fighter will ever beat the rhytmic Black fighter. I see Lomachenko and Kovalev getting destroyed.

TBH, I even think Kovalev will get knocked down during the fight. Lomachenko will either get knocked out or run all night to a decision loss.

You mean where the black fighter beats the white fighter? Pretty obvious race bait, man.

I won't conclude anything other than on that night, those guys were better. I didn't conclude from the Pavlik-Taylor fight that white guys were taking over boxing. I didn't conclude from Pac's wins over the trio that Mexicans were done.

You'd best be served by looking at the individuals. If you put faith in groups, you're going to be disappointed. Every. Single. Time.

Well, those are fine opinions and could come true, but how about backing it up with more of an argument than race? Kovalev does square himself up sometimes which is a good set up to go down from a straight shot if e's timed right. I'm not sure Ward has the power to do it, but he's got the timing. And a KD doesn't guarantee a victory in any way. Lomachenko could get KO'd but I think Walters has to catch him inside. From the outside, he doesn't do a lot and Loma stays on the outside most of the time. Back it up with facts and observations. If you only look on the surface of things, you will find boxing or any sport very uninteresting.

But your examples are bad. Pacquiao and the Mexicans never mattered. Mayweather spanked Pacquiao, Marquez and Canelo. They could at best hope to be number 2 or 3. Even back in the Mexican glory days, Pernell Whitaker was a level above them.

Pavlik and Taylor were never among the best in the world neither. Hopkins was, though, and we know what poor Pavlik had to go through in that fight...

If you start seeing white guys beating Walters, Ward, Mayweather, Crawford, Joshua, Wilder, etc., THEN you can start making an argument about whites taking over. But deep in your heart, you know it won't happen...

Haha. You know what I feel in my heart? That's pretty scary, man.

I didn't say whites were taking over. They aren't. I don't see any ethnic group ruling boxing. It is funny, though, how so many Eastern euros and white Brits have risen lately and still some posters on here insist that dem slick bruvas beat errbody. This argument has gotten real old.

With this mentality, I have to wonder why you even watch boxing. Is it to witness whitey get beat? I mean, does every fight come does to this? If one group is automatically going to dominate, what's the point?

Personally, I prefer to see diversity in the sport. We have Chinese fighting now. I didn't think that would ever happen. A Fillipino was considered the best in the world not long ago. When have the Filipinos ever gotten close to that achievement? It's great.

And myself, I do pick Kovalev over Ward and Loma over Walters and GGG over Jacobs. Has nothing to do with race. I think Kov's power is going to rattle Ward more than he thinks. I think Loma's speed and skills will be too much. I think GGG just outguns Jacobs and has a stronger chin. But when the smoke, clears, and if you are right, so be it. I'm just glad these guys are fighting each other.

hi! for a good way in box you need to remeber that: Deadlines refine the mind. They remove variables like exotic materials and processes that take too long. The closer the deadline, the more likely you'll start thinking waaay outside the box.
