Does Shinsuke Yamanaka deserve a place among the top ten p4p IYO

He just destroyed Moreno....a perennial guy but who was definitely on the slide

he has almost a dozen defenses of a title he won 5 years ago

he is also undefeated

He has a decent resume with wins over Moreno(2x), a near prime Darchinyan, Malcolm Tuñacao, Tomas Rojas, and Suriyan Sor Rungvisai

he is very skilled and is a good all around fighter

Not sure what you're talking about - he's already on most P4P lists, but I don't see him rising higher than 9th or 10th.

His resume is good, but not great. But the biggest thing I hold against him is that he's a little guy who's never moved up. I have no problem with LHWs not moving up.. MWs don't have to move up. Hell, I'll even give a WW a break if they never move up. But when you fight at 120 lbs for 10 years straight, AND you're bigger than virtually everyone in that divisions, I have a problem with you.

God of Left is awesome. His ko of Gusano is beyond brutal. His win over Suriyan was highly entertaining. Now he has two signature wins, one against Vic and to against Moreno, not bad. However he is getting up there in age, I just hope he has a few more years left in him.

I would have guys like lomachenko, lara, Estrada, bradley, danny, maybe even Mikey ahead of him.. But really don't have a problem with him being number 10

Why not if GGG can be up there Yamanaka has a better resume already : Lineal champion @ 118 made history in the bantam weight division re-establishing the lineage after 28 years ; Moreno was #2. according to boxingscene if Im not mistaken and was #1. in that division if not top five for years. Shinsuke has wins over former WBC flyweight champion Malcolm Tunacao who held the #4. spot in the world @ bantam weight when Yamanaka defeated him then you got Vic Darchinyan who was ranked in the top ten @ Super Bantamweight/Jr. Featherweight(122 lbs) at the time they fought in 2012.

So added it up lineal title ; two top five five wins in Moreno then add Tunacao ( another top five win with a KO) and dominant performance vs. the HOF candidate former flyweight and unified lineal super-flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan who manage to get ranked in the top ten at the higher weight ( 122 ) when Yamanaka beat him. Note : Vic Darchinyan was his first defense so he fought a guy ranked at the higher weight whos going into the HOF in his eighteenth pro fight! then he continued his streak until the present day.

I always hear about complaints of too many divisions but if a boxer stays at 1 weight he gets slayed for it , sounds contradicting
