Default Middle big knuckle problem

After 5 years training a couple of weeks back I hurt my middle big knuckle hitting the heavy bag with a body shot.I waited 2 to 3 weeks my knuckle felt a little better when to the gym again started hitting the bag at first it felt ok went for a body blow again and it started hurting again.I notice that knuckle looks way bigger than the one on my other hand. I was thinking about going to the doctor to see if there something wrong with my knuckle. I makes me mad because I can't go full speed and power with my punches i have to hold back it pisses me off since everyonme at the gym probably thinks that I lost my power . I also wanted to know if this ever happend to any of you guys.

It happened to me. But I didn't have the money or the insurance to go to a doctor. If you do, I'd suggest going, but I just bared it. I shortened my heavy bag training until it was doable. There's definitely a point where you have to see a doctor, but this is fighting after all, you're not always gonna be able to fight/train completely healthy

It never happend to me but you said it's bigger than the other knuckle then its probably swollen so ice it. Thats usually the best thing for something when it's swollen. Its good to know why its swollen too though...

Yep, there is a problem with the knuckle which will take time to resolve. You need better hand protection at least...

The thing is that I let it heal for about 3 weeks tried punching again the pain comes back to what it was before. Usually I notice my Knuckles getting bigger and stronger they would probably hurt for a day or 2 and than they where back to normal. I got to tell you guys I use to hit the bag with just hand wraps never got hurt before do. I notice know that is better for me to hit the bag with good boxing gloves it protecs my hands better. While I was doing Muay Thai I use to just use just hand wraps.
