Aerrola at #9 is utterly disgraceful. Disgusting. This illustrates the biggest problem with the sport IMO-winning doesn't matter. For all the problems in boxing if you simply rewarded winning then at least your rankings would be credible and your champions would be credible.

Instead, we let promoters and networks influence rankings/title fights inorganically to make their featured fighters wins seem more impressive then they are.

From a boxing fan POV I think you gotta be offended and insulted these organizations exist to this day with blatant corruption or incompetence that issues like the ones listed show has to be going on.

From a regular guy POV it's f#cking hilarious that this is how boxing operates with such out in the open corruption or incompetence.

A draw with Kaufmann and serving a 6 month suspension got him ranked #9. And they never explain why they do what they do.

Exactly. Put it this way-I weigh more than Aerreola. I am halfway to being ranked #9 myself, and I didn't draw with Kaufman, i***nowhatimsayin.

Check out Dominik Britsch, he's Zurdo's next opponent. The WBO lets you look at previous months/years rankings. He wasn't top 15 at MW or SMW last month and has not fought anybody since he was announced as Zurdo's next opponent.
http://boxrec.com/boxer/375356 This guy has padded record written all over him. He gets a MD over a guy 5-2 in an 8 rounder, it was probably a robbery. The rematches the guy and loses. Same thing happened to another guy he fought. Got a SD win, probably a robbery, and got TKO'd against him in the rematch.
