  • Is Anthony Joshua being rushed into world level title contention with Charles Martin?

Before I start. I get that whether you're a top rising prospect
or top contender if you get a chance to fight for a major world
title in boxing you take always take that chance. So, now here
we have Olympic Gold Medalist Anthony Joshua (15-0) with 15
KO's most notable wins Kevin Johnson, Gary Cornish and Dillian
Whyte stepping up in class to fight the current IBF Heavyweight
World Champion "Prince" Charles Martin. Now I'm from Texas and
I know that Charles Martin was supposed to fight with Travis "My
Time" Kauffman on the last PBC card of 2016 in San Antonio and it
ended up getting canceled then, he ended up getting to fight for a
vacant world title which Tyson Fury vacated on January 16, 2015. I
will just say that it wasn't the ending to a world title fight that we
would of wanted to see so, now Anthony Joshua has the chance of
the lifetime to fight for a major world title. I know that Matchroom's
got world champions Kell Brook and Lee Selby under their stable, win
or lose is Anthony Joshua being rushed into world level with only the
15 fights under his current record? He has got potential to be a good
champion in the future. I just wanna know your opinions on subject.

I don't think he is with regards to Martin but in general yes I do.

There is a lot of top level fighters out there who could beat Joshua right now but I think if he is given the right path he'll be fine

I agree there are a lot of top 10 ranked Heavyweight fighters
that could defeat Anthony Joshua now at this present time in
his pro career. Eddie Hearn is a good promoter and very smart
businessman he signed Anthony Joshua to the 3 year contract
extension. I think after this fight he's gonna carefully promote
Anthony Joshua the right way put him in the ring with fighters
that he knows that he could beat Dereck Chisora, David Price,
Robert Helenius, Mike Perez, Kubrat Pulev, Alexander Dimitrenko,
"Fast" Eddie Chambers and after three of these type of fights an
eventual showdown with David Haye that would be the one of the
biggest British Heavyweight fights in history going back to Lennox
Lewis vs Frank Bruno a fight with David Haye eventually is going to
happen. I would like to see Anthony Joshua eventually fight Joseph
Parker who called him out recently that would also be a great fight.
Tickets to the Joshua-Martin fight sold out the venue in 90 seconds.
