Default Chest Injury

Today while sparring I took a few good hits to the sternum, i had do stop after the last one cuz it hurt so bad. Now when i do anything that flexes both my pectorals my sternum hurts. Any idea what happened to it and what i should do about it?

The ribs attach to the sternum. Where they attach, these are considered "joints", but they aren't supposed to move much, so they are probably just sore. Sometimes the sternum can actually be broken, although unlikely. Chest injuries take a long time to heal, since breathing constantly irritates them. You need to roll with the punches more, rather than taking them straight on in the chest....
