Use to use parachute and sled for football, I think it gave me extra pop off the snap and I brought my 40 to about 4.7 sec (on track not grass) by senior year.
For wrestling used sandbags on sholders while doing stairs. After doing about 50 flights of that you take it off and you feel fresh again, like you just started, that feeling last for about 20 flights then you feel the same way as if you did have the bags for the very last 30.
I also know some guys who played baseball that used the cable machine to work on there swing. They would hook up the V accessory with the handgrips (not the one used for pull downs but the one that looks kinda like a nascar steering wheel) to the bottom and just do there natural swing but slower using the resistance. Not sure if that helped them, might've helped build muscle memory, not sure I didnt play baseball.
