  • Better win - Brook > Porter or Khan > Alexander

So as usual the Khan fanboys on this forum are making some ridiculous statements.

Recently, they've been trying to say that Khan's win over Devon Alexander is better than Kell Brook's win over Shawn Porter.

    To break it down quickly.

In December 2013, the undefeated Porter fought and beat Devon Alexander, then IBF champ, relatively comfortably and even hurting him in the process. He won on all three scorecards.

Before facing Brook, Porter's last 5 fights were:

Malignaggi KO4 - WIN (IBF defense)
Alexander UD - WIN (IBF WIN)
    Julio Diaz UD - WIN
Phil Lo Greco UD - WIN
    Julio Diaz - SD (DRAW)

    - After facing Brook, Shawn Porter has won twice, defeating Eric Bone and Adrien Broner.

Before facing Khan, Alexander's last 5 fights were:

    Jesus Soto-Karass UD - WIN
    Shawn Porter UD - LOSS
Lee Purdy TKO7 - WIN (IBF defense)
Randall Bailey UD - WIN (IBF WIN)
    Marcos Maidana - UD WIN

    - After facing Khan, Alexander has lost to Aaron Martinez.

    Which is better?

Even before the Martinez fight, Porter is a better win.

I like Alexander and think he'd have tremendous potential if he ever got his head together. However, there's no possible way someone could vote for Kahn here without being shamelessly biased.

I'll take the guy who beat the guy who beat the guy that Khan beat first.

          I hope that made sense.

Porter is a tough fight for anyone - and Brook won a very close decision.

As for Alexander - he has declined and did not appear motivated when Khan beat him.

People can Hype Khan as much as they like, but he is fading fast.

Even Hunter is saying Khan's ego is out of control.

Wait for Khan to start blaming other fighters for 'ducking' him or changing his trainer or Ramadan or whatever.

The guy just needs to prove himself in the ring, its that simple.

Khan's win is better. Porter vs Alexander was almost a toss up, so was Brook vs Porter. Close fights which could have gone either way. They fight 10 times, they win 5 each. One judge had Brook vs Porter a draw.

Khan shutout Alexander for 12 rounds, the fight was the very definition of a mismatch.

So Khan's thoroughly dominating performance against a fighter who was very evenly matched with Porter was a better win than Brook's closely-contested Porter win.

I like Devon, between him and porter. I consider Devon to be the better boxer. But losing to Martinez is just plain sad. Martinez did come in with this head a lot. But I had the fight a draw. But the judges saw it differently. Honestly Alexander shouldn't have been in that position. I feel for the guy though.

I don't get this Brook hype though. People here act like the guy destroyed Porter. Actually I was amazed he got the win. I saw the Porter vs Brook fight as a draw as well.

In terms of performance, no one has beaten Alexander has convincingly or in such a clean fashion as Khan. It was punch perfect.

Brook beat Porter in a close, ugly contest but it's the better win because Porter was the better opponent at the time but it was not the better performance.

Wow .. What absolute nonsense opinions you guys have ... Devon should have what 5-6 losses now if you account for Lucas and Kotelnik.... He is trash .... Id be more afraid of his screams damaging my ears than anything else ..

Brook would make him look worse than he did Frankie Gavin and I'd stake my life on that .....

Khan.... Well anyone who can score a fight could give him at most a draw against Algeri .... Porter is not great though ... Brook should have stopped him and would in a rematch I think
