Back when Lara called Golovkin out, HBO were the ones who wouldn't accept him. Golovkin's side doesn't have any problem fighting Lara. Nor should they, his style is a nightmare for Lara.

I think the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight being made means a lot of HBO/Haymon fights are possible where they weren't before. K2 should try again for Golovkin's next fight when he (likely) doesn't get Cotto.

Even if HBO said yes, I don't think Haymon gives up any of his fighters off his network tree. He's trying to choke out the non-Haymon promoters and HBO is the only support those promoters have left.
