Default Rice, good or bad?

I am training full time and weather permitting I do road work regularly. I find that I burn out easy when I eat my normal carb intake, which is usually about 50 grams a day. I find eating a pint of rice for lunch gives me the energy I need for my workouts, but is it good for me? Here are my stats:

Age: 17
Weight: 148
Height: 5'6"

It wouldnt hurt as long as you are burning the extra calories and you said it has helped you, so if it is helping than by all means pursue that.

I normally consume a bit of brown rice with my chicken breast occasionally.
