Post Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Breaks Down Fury-Chisora II, Wilder, More

There’s an oft trotted out adage which claims that ‘As goes the heavyweight division, so goes the sport of boxing.’

Well, after close to a decade of the sometimes boring Klitschko dominance – in which sports fans struggled to distinguish between Ukrainian brothers Vitali and Wladimir and the sport lacked a dominant champion because they refused to square off against each other – hopefully the sport’s blue riband class is set to re-ignite in 2014.

Vitali’s decision to abdicate the WBC throne and commit to a future in Ukrainian politics, plus the emergence of a cosmopolitan crop of undefeated prospects should inject much needed oxygen into our sport. [Click Here To Read More]

Sounds like Warren's trying to lay the groundwork for a fight between the Fury Chisora loser and Wilder. That would be great. Wilder will probably (hopefully) fight the Stiverne Arreola winner within a month or two of the Fury Del fight. Presumably he'll be kayo'd then, and both parties will need a rebound fight. I'd love to see Fury Wilder, but its much more likely Chisora will lose to Fury. Either way I see Chisora or Fury being 50 50 against Wilder. Maybe before the end of 2014? Something to hope for.

"Long-anticipated rematch"?

Pray tell, who was actually asking about this? And how can he call these two the best in Britain when Haye already spanked Chisora in five rounds?
