What do you mean? Isn't Danny the Superchamp and Khabib the regular champ? Not saying I agree with the WBA on this, but how could Khabib get promoted to superchamp when Garcia is already? Unless Danny dropped his WBA belt?

Another reason fans should concentrate on WHO and WHEN a fighter fights as opposed to rankings, titles, etc.

Because Khabib has the IBO belt too as well as the regular belt and if they're upgrading Golovkin because he has 2 "belts" then what're they gonna do with Khabib?

So the WBO is considering the IBO a major world title. Just what we need, a 5th major world championship in boxing.

Khabib can't be Super Champion because Danny already is. Khabib will just be labeled "unified champion" like Canelo was with Floyd.

So at 140, the WBA will have:

Garcia - Super Champion
Khabib - Unified Champion
Spadafora/TBA - Regular Champion

I can understand the champion/super champion issue when you have fighters like Floyd and Canelo who won't fight the #1 contenders and will never be stripped but this is getting ridiculous.

I mentioned this in one of Golovkin's numerous threads. It makes sense, because Hatton mentioned murray would have a world title fight in Febuary. Obviously can't be Barker/Quillin/Martinez because they're tied up, and Golovkin was ruled out. No other option unless Hatton lied.
