Espinoza (Sho Sports Exec) Wants Rigondeaux Back on ShowTime

Thought this was an interesting convo:

    Stephen Espinoza ‏@StephenEspinoza 3 Oct
Would like Rigo back on SHO. "@MatthewG918: you can choose one active fighter to appear on SHO that has not appeared on it before."

    Stephen Espinoza ‏@StephenEspinoza 3 Oct
It's a mistake disrespecting any fighter the way they did "@THAONE_FRANK: u think HBO made a mistake the way they didn't want Rigo anymore"

    Stephen Espinoza ‏@StephenEspinoza 3 Oct
Two votes for Rigo. "@MrBrianKenny: @MatthewG918 Rigo..YES..we would appreciate the mastery!"

does anybody have any specifics on when Rigondeaux's contract with Top Rank expires? As soon as that's done, he's bolting for GBP, there are way too many good fights with the other promotional company.

I love it, bro. It gets a little tiresome reading all the bullshit people have to say about Rigo being "boring," the networks not wanting him, him not being a draw, etc. Guillermo will never be a real star, but to say no one wants to see him is just crap.

lol Rigo fights in December, then it's one more under Top Rank. But, to be honest, although Arum infuriates me sometimes, there really aren't too many options. Golden Boy? Schaefer doesn't seem much different than ol' Bob when it comkes to Cuban fighters.

If nothing else, I hope somebody at HBO notices this, and that it serves as a wake up call. Promotional issues aside, Rigo needs better network support. If Showtime can provide it, I'm all for it.
