The referee for the Sept. 14 junior-welterweight title fight between Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthysse at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will be Tony Weeks.

Weeks was selected at the Sept. 4 meeting of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The other candidates to be the third man in the ring for that bout were Robert Byrd, Russell Mora and Jay Nady.
