May as well chuck the Alexander one in too.

Round 1 - 10-9 Matthysse, close round but Lucas with the cleaner, more effective work. Nice rights to the body.

Round 2 - Alexander boxing nicely, Lucas gets his jab going lands a big right hand that backs up Alexander, Alexander comes back with some nice lefts. Legs get tied up and Lucas unleashes a combination & goes back to his corner smiling as the round draws an end but he hasn't done enough to steal the round IMO 10-9 Alexander

round 3 - Alexander firing but Lucas showing some really good head movement, showing his underrated defense & getting in close. Nice right to the body from Lucas. Big left hook flush on the whiskers but Alexander takes it well. 10-9 Alexander

Round 4 - First punch he lands, a big right hand that sends Alexander to the canvas. Lucas backing him up & trapping him on the ropes, landing some big shots. 5 punch combination from Alexander all of which misses. 10-8 Lucas

Round 5 - Scrappy round with Lucas applying the pressure, Alexander grunting & clinching. Nothing of much significance landed but for me Lucas was the aggressor and did land the cleaner shots. 10-9 Lucas

Round 6 - Wicked left hook to the body from Lucas, Alexander returns but it is borderline and the referee warns him to keep em up. Nice from Lucas as he looks to pick the pace up, sneaky uppercut inside. Devon fires back but Matthysse is showing zero respect for his power. Devons throwing nice combinations but Lucas is basically laughing when he fires out a piston like jab & a savage left hook to the body. Lucas lands two nice uppercuts inside & follows with a short hook. Close round - Give Devon it due to workrate. 10-9 Alexander

Round 7 - Lucas comes out blazing as Alexander is back-peddling. Lucas stepping on the gas, feints a right to the body but goes upstairs, lovely shot.
Straight right to the body & comes up with a beautiful left uppercut that snaps Alexanders head back. Another big right that stuns Alexander. Lucas is teeing off as Alexander looks gassed. Nothing on Alexanders shot though very few thrown. 10-9 Lucas (All Lucas that round)

Round 8 - Lucas picking up where he left off. Lands some huge straight rights to the body as Alexanders on the ropes, one in particular makes Devon squeel ln pain. Alexander finally answers with a nice right hook up top. Good back n' forth action but Alexander is coming off 2nd best in all exchanges. Lucas finishes strong with a left hook to the body, wild right hook that misses & a nice short left hook which buckles Devon. 10-9 Lucas

Round 9 - Alexanders caught his 2nd wind, gets through some nice straight left hands. Lucas is missing an awful lot as he is looking a little fatigued.
Steps it up and is chasing Devon across the ring! Lands a nice combination as Lucas smashes his gloves together and roars at him to bring it on! Lands a powerful jab which sends Devons head snapping back. Lucas swings for the hills but ears a nice counter left. Nice bodyshot from Lucas as Devon holds on, that hurt! 10-9 Alexander, his best round for some time.

Round 10 - Nice left hook from Lucas. Nice right hand flush on the button but Devon eats it. Nice work from Devon switching from the body to up top. Nice left hook from Lucas whose looking tired then turns it up a notch with a nice combination. Alexander on his bicycle but Lucas is right on him. Little flurry from Alexander - all blocked, nothing on them. Chopping right inside from Lucas. 10-9 Lucas


96-93 Lucas Matthysse I fail to see how Alexander could of possibly won that even with giving him a few of the close rounds

This is about the 12th time I've seen the fight, but here is my score from watching it again.

Round 1: Devon, close round but Devon out landed, out worked, and for the most part controlled the round.
Round 2: Devon. Again Devon out boxed and landed Matthysse.
Round 3: Devon. Like round 2 Devon controlled this round primary outboxing Lucas throughout
Round 4: Matthysse (10-8 round). Lucas with a big punch that montarly stunned Alexander and had him on the defensive for the rest of the round.
Round 5: Devon. Alexander responds nicely to the KD using his movement too get his head on straight. This was a very close round, but Devon's boxing, defense, and combinations edged it on my card.
Round 6: Devon. Another close round, but Devon's work rate, boxing, and combinations win it for him again.
Round 7: Lucas. Most dominate round of the fight so far. Lucas almost landing at will this round, completely dominating the thing. Devon looks tired as hell and hardly did anything.
Round 8: Lucas. Another clear round for the Argentine, but not as dominate as the 7th. Devon does land some good shots, but it is all over shadowed by Matthysee.
Round 9: Easily Devon's best round since the opening 3. He appears to have recovered from the onslaught and gets a lot of work done. His movement and defense causes Matthysse trouble throughout this round and by the end of it he is clearly frustrated.
Round 10: Lucas. Another very close round that fits the theme of the fight. Lucas lands some very good shots, but Devon does outland/out work him in the round. Very close, but I edge for Matthysse.

Again a very close fight, but I have Alexander coming away with a 95-94 win.

5-5 with the KD giving Matts the win.

Not when you have so many close rounds in a fight. Like TS said, I would love to see you rewatch and share your scores. All but 3 or 4 rounds in this fight were very close, to say otherwise is just lying.

An argument for Devon winning the close rounds can be made. Look at Kiaba's score, if you flip round six to Devon, a round a lot of people think he won, then Devon wins the fight on his card.

Alexander gave a good account for himself regardless what his critics say, but I still had Lucas winning the fight by a point.

Both guys showed a good chin in this fight.

Lucas doesn't like it to the body, Alexander fades towards the end of the fight.

Looking for guys that scored this for Alexander cause I was being bias for Alexander just now, and couldn't give him better the fight... I couldn't even give him a draw

Scoring bias for Alexander, I gave it to Matthysse by a point
If I gave the close rounds, I can only think of 2 (which I purposely gave to Alexander), to Matthysse... We're talking a 3 point win

Rounds 1 and 2 are close, either fighter could get one rounds or the other... I purposely gave Alexander round 1, though normally I would have given it to Matthysse

Round 5: Alexander held his way to earning this round... Disgusting display, but he won it

Round 6: Alexander, close round could have gone either way

Round 8: Matthysse
Round 9: Alexander
Round 10: Matthysse

Round 10 in my opinion was not close, but Alexander did enough to where an extremely bias judge could give it to him out of desperation, but IMHO it was a clear Matthysse round and in all honesty, if u gave this to Alexander, you're scorecard is moot

95 - 94 Matthysse

If u gave Alexander rounds 1 and 2 than he wins, but those were 2 close rounds fought 2 different ways so if u preferred Alexander's style in one round, the other round favored the opposite style, so its almost impossible... Other than that, I don't think there's much argument Matthysse deserved it
