By saying 2006/07 I am assuming that the fight would be at 147. Back then, Cotto was a tremendous body puncher, rehydrated to a point that he was often much bigger and stronger than his opponents, and his style was very relentless. I say Cotto would have TKO'ed García, probably, after a solid body attack.

Cotto crushes garcia... Garcia would be able to tag cotto sometimes, but cotto's body attack, and power would be too much for danny

Cotto would probably still beat him now. Danny's good but he's still a developing fighter. Every fight he shows improvement. Cotto, on the other hand, fades a little more with each fight but he is still game at the moment. Right now Cotto would win because he's the smarter fighter and he has dealt with every type of style in the ring (Cotto UD). Cotto from 2006-2007 would probably stop Danny late.

Cotto would beat him now by a convincing points decision or a late stoppage. He has declined but he's not shot by any means. He gave Mayweather a good fight and lost a decision against a VERY good Trout.

At 147, probably Garcia. It's like fighting Margs all over again.
