Is Robert Helenius (18-0, 11 KOs) back to his best? March 23 is a big night for boxing fans all over the world. Current WBO Super-Middleweight Champion Arthur Abraham (36-3, 28 KOs) and Robert Stieglitz (43-3, 24 KOs) will meet for the second time within seven months after Abraham took Stieglitz´s title away from him back on August 25. But the fans at the GETEC-Arena in Magdeburg, Germany, have another treat to look forward too, cause what would be a fight night without a matchup between some real heavyweights? Robert Helenius takes on Britain’s Michael Sprott (37-19, 17 KOs) in only his second fight after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to an injury.

could be a decent fight........ but lets face it, if helenius if half as good as he's supposed to be he should win easily....... if any of the top british heavyweights took a fight against sprott they'd be accused of cherrypicking........ so lets see what happens....... i'd like to see sprott cause another upset!

Helenius is my boy, but he sucked hard against Sherman fuckin' Williams and damn near got stopped in that fight. He seriously needs to look good in this one. Plus, I still remember all too clearly how Chisora smacked him around the ring like an idiot - and deserves a rematch from that shameful robbery.

Yeah yeah, Helenius had an injured arm and all that crap, but a big guy like him should have no excuse for the way he looked otherwise. I feel ashamed of my fellow Finns as to how they continue to think he deserved that bullshit decision. I'm all for nationalism of the white kind, but in this case objectivity is unfortunately lacking.

thats a fair point, he is a decent gatekeeper, and i suppose its short notice....... i just thought given that helenius had already beaten 2 ex world champs, and del boy(on paper at least) he was already a decent heavy....... i guess we'll find out soon

Mate, it's not fair to say he committed the robbery. He's just a fighter & did very well for 12 rounds with a broken hand. I'd love to see a rematch.

It WAS a horrible robbery but look at his promoters, not the boxer.

This is a big fight for Sprott and although I have respect for Roberts, I'm backing my Famo all the way.. Although it was kind of short notice, I can tell you that training is going really well and there very happy with where there at.. I think this might start off to be the battle of the Jabs.. I think it comes down to Sprotts frame of mind as he does have experience and the knowledge to beat Roberts, He has been in the Klit camp before and gained some experience with the best tall rangy and powerful.

He does have a slight advantage where many British fighters don't, Sprott been boxing out of Germany for many years so this might help a tad? Though the first fight with Edmonds it didn't, But they let him keep his license with nothing more than a £1000 fine..
Either way I am hoping that we are in line for great nights boxing ..

I think the jury must remain well and truly out on Helenius right now..

.......he's a fighter that has looked poor, vulnerable and bloody lucky as well as athletic, heavy-handed and convincing in equal measure.

I have little time for Chisora, who has often behaved like a thug or said something so spiteful/crass and whose behaviour has sometimes been so bizarre that you have to wonder whether he has mental health issues.

But to his immense credit, Chisora beat Helenius by at least 3-4 rounds and in a rather dignified way let everyone know that he'd been robbed without becoming hysterical and causing a fracas. Credit, where credit is due to DC.

Yet this was the same Helenius who battered Sam Peter, Brewster and Likahovich - all former world champions with far superior experience.

Mike Sprott will be the ideal test for the Nordic Nightmare - he's seasoned pro who has faced the best, knows precisely what it takes to win on the road and will fancy his chances.

I am looking forward to seeing this one. And if Helenius has not got his mind and body exactly right I think his 'O' will go because Sprott is currently the best gatekeeper out there right now.
