100% agree with Froch. Calzaghe's only claim to fame in his 0. Wish these two could have faced off.

i thunk froch is great as for legacy it depends on how u define it, JC wouldnt have lost to kessler and didnt lose to him, and JC beat BH, which i dont think Froch would have done. And i dont think he would have beat JC as well.

So whatever Froch thinks he has done that is above JC, JC will always have that over Froch probably. And to re iterate that is to have people think he probably would have beaten Froch is the main one though.

he didn't fight bute either...he dropped the ibf belt he won from lacy

when he moved up to 175 he fought two senior citizens instead of dawson who had already won the wbc and ibf belt, tarver who was still the #2 or #3 in division or johnson...

I'm neither a bhop or calzaghe fan but I gave bhop the edge in that decision...calzaghe looked freakin amateurish in that fight

I think u have to put these accomplishments into the right timeframe...back when calzaghe was 36 froch hadn't done much nor had he peaked...he won a vacant title against pascal who hardly anybody knew aside from his beef with the then overhyped edison miranda

right now with froch being in his prime and having faced everyone relevant in the division I think he's a better fighter...sure if it happened back in 07-08 calzaghe wouldve likely beaten him but an '07 abraham wouldn't have beaten an '07 version of jermain taylor either...

you can rigtly critisize Joe from choosing Jones instead of Dawson as that was a bit of a retirement fund joke fight.

However Hopkins was the #1 guy in the division regardless of how old he was. And he proved he can still compete with the top guys years later.

Also he didnt drop the belt to avoid Bute, its was Steglitz who was mandatory i think. Bute won it later. Steiglitz would've been better than Manfredo, though thats not saying much!

I got no problem with people thinking Froch is greater, but i dont think Froch would have beat JC, BH and we know Froch lost to Kessler so its a tough one. Yes JC didnt do it often as his hands were injured all the time and he retired when their were fights available, but what we do know is when he stepped up he passed the tests put to him.

And we know Froch wont be winning awards like JC seems to be winning after retirement, like unofficially the FOTD of all things believe it or not.

sakio bika would give froch a good run for his money.and to say he has fought better opponents is nonsense.no point in saying that unless froch beat them but he didn't.love watching froch tho cause its always a tear up you get with him

Even if Froch is right, why does he have to say it. Love Froch as a fighter, but he has a tendency to say things that aren't quite classy. He shouldn't have to say it to prove how good he is.
