Is Baldomir/Judah the biggest upset since Douglas/Tyson?

    What do you people think?

Is Baldomir's win over Judah the biggest upset in boxing history since Douglas' win over Tyson?

Sure it is a MAJOR major upset...but you're talking 15-16 years of boxing here...I don't think it is the biggest...but it is definitely one of them

I think it absolutely is. Judah was on the edge of the p4p list and Baldomir was a guy nobody had EVER heard of. Tyson was at least asked about defending against Buster Douglas a couple fights before he fought him, so you know Douglas was a contender on the rise. Baldomir had never done ANYTHING and he flat out has NOTHING. Judah losing to him is the most pathetic thing I think I've ever seen in this sport.

The biggest odds upset in recent memory was McBride at +2000 beating Tyson. Corrie Sanders was +1800 and beat Klitschko a few years ago.

In terms of Baldomir was about +1000 in this fight. This was a great upset.

Actually, Vegas didn't even put out lines on this fight because Baldy was such an underdog. They weren't accepting bets, how's that for someone who didn't have a snowball's chance in hell. At least Douglas/Tyson and Sanders/Klit had odds in Vegas.

********boxing, however, had Judah as a -2500 fav and Baldy as a =700 underdog.

I don't count Tyson's last two losses as upsets of this scale, personally, even if they were bigger upsets with the bookmakers... that's their ******ity in not recognising Tyson as a shot fighter.

i dont think this was much of an upset. People were sayin that carlos was a nobody and look at the people he fought. But what i saw was a hyped up fighter by the name of Zab Judah who's only big win was a TKO of Cory Spinks thus evening the two. One to One. When he fought K.T. we all know what happened. Then he fought Cory spinks as his next big fight and once again he lost. This guy has never been that impressive. His mouth is his biggest punch. I feel that many people just WANTED him to be that good so that he could fight PBFM. Personally i wanted to see that fight just so Floyd could teach him a lesson and KO him out the ring. But honestly, im glad its not going to. This way Zab looks like the Bum that he is and he doesnt have the ability to say only really good fighters beat him.
